Stocking Stuffers for Babies and Toddlers

The holiday season is a magical time, especially for parents of little ones. As you deck the halls and trim the tree, don't forget the tiny stockings waiting to be filled with joy! Whether you’re shopping for your own little one, other family members, or putting together a registry, we’ve officially reached the season of giving!

Here at PTP, I work very hard to make sure my patients and their families are receiving and buying gifts that are both fun and developmentally appropriate for the baby, while also giving parents and caregivers peace of mind that the products are safe and age appropriate. From playful to practical, we've curated a list of delightful gifts that will make your little one's first holidays memorable.

Soft and Snuggly Stuffed Toys

Colorful Teething Toys

Teething can be tough, but the right toy can make it better. Opt for BPA-free, colorful teething rings or soft cloth books with chewable corners. These are not only great for soothing sore gums but also add a pop of color to your little one’s stocking.

Art and Creativity!
Let your toddler get creative with crayons and the art-making process! It's a tactile way for them to express their creativity and explore the world around them. Crayons fit perfectly into their small hands. It's not just fun, but it also plays a crucial role in their developmental growth. As toddlers scribble and draw, they improve their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, enhance their cognitive abilities and can express emotion. Check out some of my favorite picks for little hands - and don’t forget the art smock!

Fun Bath Toys

Make bath time more fun with small, waterproof toys. Rubber duckies, floating boats, or even toys that swim provide endless entertainment and make bath time fun for everyone!

Musical Instruments

What baby or toddler doesn’t love to make noise?! Sing and dance with your child with miniature instruments. Small shakers, rattles, or musical toys are sure to be a huge hit and encourage their musical development.

Cozy Socks or Booties

For those of you with newer babies, keep those tiny toes warm with a pair of soft socks or booties like this fleece pair. Or add to play time with a fun sock and rattle combo! For parents of toddlers, find warmth and support by checking out my Fall and Winter Shoe Guide!

Soft Building Blocks and Stacking Toys

Work on fine motor skills and cognitive abilities with building blocks and stacking toys. Soft, squeezable building blocks are great for encouraging early building and stacking skills. Plus, they're safe for play and won't hurt if they happen to be thrown around a bit. Stacking cups help babies and toddlers with problem solving when items fit or don’t fit. Plus, the added benefit of learning colors and having fun knocking a tower down!

**Remember - when it comes to gifts for babies and toddlers, don’t overthink it! The best gifts are often simple, engaging, and safe for little ones to explore.
