BABIES DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD!

Get peace of mind about your child’s movement, feeding, and development

At Progress Through Play we believe that milestones shouldn’t be a mystery and that babies deserve to feel good in their bodies so they can breathe, eat, sleep, poop and play well.

We are a holistic and collaborative infant PT practice focusing on a full body approach to infant feeding, movement, and milestones. We offer a combination of manual therapies (myofascial release, craniosacral fascial therapy, infant massage) along with oral motor therapy and functional therapeutic exercise for motor milestones.

Whether you’re needing expert care and treatment for torticollis, head flattening, developmental delays, bodywork and pre/post-frenectomy therapies for tongue-tie, tummy time trouble-shooting, or just need some help understanding how to best support your child’s milestones we are here to support you with a focus on connection and purposeful play.

Are you ready to approach your baby’s MOVEMENT AND milestones with curiosity instead of concern?

Hi, I’m Dr. Brita DeStefano PT, DPT

MEET THE OWNER

I’m a Denver based pediatric physical therapist and craniosacral fascial therapist and mom of two big kids (11 and 9). I am an expert in infant development and am passionate about helping babies feel good and move well so that they (and their families) can thrive!

After working as a physical therapist in a traditional clinic setting and becoming a parent myself, I recognized the gap in availability for proactive early intervention when infants are struggling to move and function. Progress Through Play was created to bridge that gap.

When we work together, you’re choosing a provider who will really listen to your concerns and help you find solutions and peace of mind. My approach is hands-on and individualized for each child that walks through my door. Our sessions are never rushed and are focused on helping you deeply understand your child’s body and their development while fostering purposeful play to deepen your connection. I promise to celebrate each and every bit of progress along the way and be your child’s biggest cheerleader.

My goal is to give you peace of mind and a greater understanding of your child’s development while helping them find joy in movement and feel good in their body.

"Thank you for the session today! You have no idea how much peace of mind you've given me. There's been so many things I've worried about with [my child], and after today I feel like they are all a part of this big puzzle related to her tongue tie and tightness. I'm so excited to start working with her and move toward getting her better with some of this stuff!"

Kind Words for Dr. Brita PT, DPT

  • "Brita has the rare trifecta: impeccable PT knowledge and skill, a magician with babies' plethora of personalities, and a wonderful communicator/empathizer/human who is a true pleasure to be around. I was amazed at what I didn't know and wouldn't have known had I not had her over to assess our twins. A few treatments later and I feel like we avoided a lot of future major trouble by addressing minor issues early. So glad I brought Brita into the family!"

  • "At my son’s 2 month Pedi appointment, we were told that he had the slightest flattening on his left side and that we can β€œwatch and wait” for his 4 month appointment. In that moment, I distinctly remembered one of Brita’s Instagram posts about watching and waiting, specifically that it’s not the only option. Within the next week I reached out to Brita for a Head Shape Consult, and man am I glad I did! Brita educated me and empowered me in those 30 minutes. Her gentle and knowledgeable approach worked wonders for my son and his β€œslightest bit of flattening” is no more. I can’t recommend Brita more, she was and continues to be a valuable resource as our little guy grows."

  • "Brita has done a wonderful job working with our daughter (15 months) on gross-motor skills. She asked all the right questions to meet our daughter where she was at and work with the things that motivate her. After a difficult experience with another PT, it was so wonderful to find someone who connected immediately and made the experience fun. We are so grateful that we found Brita!"

  • "Could not recommend Brita enough! We started working with her when my little one was about 2 months - she was showing signs of torticollis and flattening of her head on one side. With repositioning and gentle body exercises to loosen and strengthen and balance her tiny baby body, we were able to eliminate her side preference (so far so good still at 1 year old, though if it creeps back in, I know who to call!) and avoid a helmet. But the reason I'd recommend Brita isn't even about the outcomes - it's about HOW she works with families. I felt 100% supported and cared for throughout the process. I love that she came to our house, wore a mask when I felt nervous about germs, was SO patient with the babe on fussier days, adjusted and made it work when naps were off, gave us clear and manageable "homework" that worked within OUR home / family / resources /etc -- she is just the best. 100% recommend setting up a consultation and seeing for yourself!"

  • "Brita was so warm and lovely when she came to our house to help our 7 month old get rolling! The exercises she left us with had our baby rolling within two days of Brita's visit. I recommend her to my friends who have PT needs. She's such a valuable resource!"

Why Progress Through Play?

Progress Through Play is a pediatric physical therapy practice rooted in the belief that a baby’s development is about so much more than hitting milestonesβ€”it’s about connection, regulation, and whole-body wellness. We specialize in supporting infants with feeding challenges, oral ties, torticollis, flat head shapes, tummy time struggles and motor delays, using a gentle, individualized approach that honors the baby’s nervous system and the caregiver’s intuition. What sets us apart is the time and space we give to each family. Sessions are unhurried, play-based, and deeply collaborative. We believe healing and progress happen best when parents feel empowered and babies feel safe.

Let us help you demystify development and create a deeper connection with your child through purposeful play.

Milestones shouldn't be a mystery.

Milestones shouldn't be a mystery.

β€œBabies may not be able to speak but their bodies communicate a plethora of information, we just have to listen. As an expert in infant bodywork and milestone development, I am able to really listen and put the puzzle pieces together for families to better understand how and why their baby may be struggling and what are the actionable ways we can best support them moving forward. ”
