When you need support, you should have it. Together we can be proactive in supporting your child’s development in a fun and collaborative way. Early assessment and physical therapy treatment is the best form of prevention. We are thrilled to offer tips and tricks from our years of specializing in pediatric PT and we are passionate about fostering deeper connections between parents and children through purposeful play.

We know how hard it is to get in the car and make it to an appointment when you have a newborn or other kids at home. When needed, we can come to you. Our approach is hands-on, very personalized, and you never need a diagnosis, a delay, or to qualify in any way to receive our services.

The Progress Through Play Difference

Progress Through Play offers personalized, one-on-one care following Dr. Brita’s MOTORS Method. Promote your little one’s healthy development, demystify milestones, and deepen your connection with your child through purposeful play!

The MOTORS Method

  • Mindset - learn to focus on your child’s strengths and celebrate the miraculous mini milestones occurring every day

  • Observation - watch and learn! Learn what motivates your child and watch for progress along THEIR development curve. No more falling into the sneaky comparison trap.

  • Tummy time - not just a buzzword but a peaceful and productive activity

  • On the floor - where all the magic happens! The floor is where your baby will flourish.

  • Rotisserie - variety in positioning is key, let’s get your baby cooked on all sides ;)

  • Supporting Symmetry - setting a foundation for optimal functioning through symmetry

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sessions take place either in your home or in clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Greenwood Village. I also offer virtual services for those outside of the Denver Metro area.

  • Nope! My sessions are focused on supporting you and your child no matter where they fall on the developmental spectrum. I believe that all parents deserve peace of mind when it comes to their child’s milestones. I find joy in helping caregivers gain a deeper understanding of what is ‘normal’ for their child while promoting connection through play. Colorado is a direct-access state for physical therapy, meaning you do not need a referral from a physician to receive treatment from a PT.

  • CFT is a gentle modality founded by Dr. Barry Gillespie to address fascial strain on the body. Fascia is the body’s connective tissue. It is found in an all encompassing web that envelops organs, muscles, bones, and nerves. Strain in this fascial web can restrict optimal functioning of the body and nervous system. Craniosacral Fascial Therapy techniques are designed to gently unwind and release fascial strain.

  • In order to provide prompt, high-quality, one-on-one care in your home and my clinic, Progress Through Play is a cash-pay practice. We are not in network with any insurance companies. If your child is receiving physical therapy services, I will be happy to provide you with a detailed invoice to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement after treatment. If you plan to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, please check with them first to determine if they require physician referrals for therapy services. Payment is due at time of service. You will be prompted to provide payment via credit card, FSA or HSA card when using our online appointment scheduler or at the end of your session.

  • Initial evaluations last around 60 minutes and follow-up visits are around 50 minutes (babies are unpredictable so appointment length is approximate).

  • Please feel free to call for complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to determine which services your child would benefit from, or shoot me an e-mail at brita@ptpdenver.com.

When it comes to your baby, you don’t need to “wait and see”!
