Low to No Cost Gifts for Your Baby
This holiday season may look very different for a lot of families. Gifting may not be possible for those whose jobs have been affected by the pandemic.
What is most important for your child is the love and support they get from their caregivers. Your baby doesn't need that $90 play mat....you know what they will like the best? The box and the wrapping paper! Newsflash: your baby will be equally excited to get a bag of yogurt melts as they will that $50 push toy.
So please don't stress, mamas! Go shower those littles with love and know that you are enough!
Need some inspiration for low to no cost gifts this year? Check out some of these ideas:
REPURPOSE: Wrap up gifts that you got from your baby shower or that they haven’t played with in a while.
DIY:
make sensory bottles toys with empty water bottles filled with pantry items for baby to shake
make your own magic tissue pull
make your own ball pit with a blow up baby pool and set of balls
SNACKS: puffs, yogurt melts, pouches etc! For the older kids I love fun marshmallows.
GET CRAFTY: If you can sew, check out these projects to sew your own baby blanket, nursing cover, car seat cover or changing pad.
LOW COST TOYS:
Baby links $5
O Ball $10
Crinkle Paper (also easy to DIY) $7
Sensory Book $5
Rain Stick $10
Never underestimate the novelty of house hold items for babies! Those amazon boxes, tupper ware, old remotes and wooden spoons are just as entertaining to them as anything you can buy at the store.
I hope these ideas helped take some of the holiday pressure off!
